Recently, the two provincial science and technology projects, R&D of Ni/Mo High Strength Welding Wire and R&D of High Carbo Chromium Bearing Steel Wire, passed the check. And the former of the two won the provincial science and technology achievement award. So far the company totally has 47 provincial science and technology achievements. The appraisal meeting was held in Xinguang Grand Hotel, and Mr. Kong Junqi, the chief engineer, attended the meeting.
The meeting was hosted by Xingtai Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and Xingtai Municipal Productivity Promotion Center. The appraisal committee was fromed by 7 experts from Metallurgy Society of Hebei Province, Science and Technology University of Beijing, Yanshan University, Hebei United University, Science and Technology University of Hebei, and Sinosteel XTMMC. The experts heard and deliberated the reports, reviewed the application documents, and made a conclusion after discussion that:
Xingtai Steel has provided full documents of the R&D of Ni/Mo High Strength Welding Wire Project for the appraisement. The project made reasonable composition designing, optimized controled cooling datas and cooling speed, adopted dynamic water distribution, mould, and end electric stirring technologies to achieve even structure, reduce the wire strength fluctuation; adopted silicon-calcium wire inclusions modification and rejection to insure hot metal casting and increase the stretchability of the wire; adopted the oxide film technology to insure better surface quality of the welding wire. The products were considered of good stretchability after trial by the custmers. The welding wire products have merits of small welding splash, easy cleaning, and good-looking welding seam. The product has advanced production process, well-equipted production and inspection facilities, is suitable for mass production and will make good ecnomic benefits. The production process and product performance achieve international advanced level.
