In 2020, under the influence of COVID-19 and production restriction, the blast furnace was not allowed to load production. In August 2020, Xingtai Steel ranked 34th in the technical competitiveness ranking of world’s iron＆Steel enterprises and ranked 27th in patent technical ability of world’s steel enterprises.

To meet customers’ personalized needs and customized production, Xingtai Steel produces 11 types of wire products and 2 types of remelting products, turning over to the manufacture of 42 products in 9 types of steel. 3 projects got the first, second and third Award for Metallurgical Science and Technology in Hebei Province respectively; the project “development and application of key technologies of high-quality steel for auto parts” reached international advanced level; 33 national patents (including 20 inventions) are applied and 21 patents (including 9 inventions) are authorized.

Xingtai Steel strengthens precise control, optimizes emission indicators, arranges acceptance tests for ultra-low emission of sintering machine to achieve ultra-low emission in the whole process. 11 sets of micro-station monitoring systems for multiple-factor air environment are installed around the factory boundary and the main production areas to achieve precise control of fugitive emission. Basic management is strengthened to eliminate the blind spot of environmental protection and improve the reward mechanism and assessment mechanism. Third Party Administration is strengthened to ensure pollutant discharge under certain standard and the normal operation of monitoring equipment. The dust removal system of blast furnace converter and other main equipment is improved to optimize emission targets.
