The Q-series cold heading steel products developed by Xing Steel have stable surface crack controlled below 0.05mm, far below the current national standard requirement of 0.10mm, and are used in major domestic and foreign automobiles and construction machinery; the high-strength bolts made of chromium-molybdenum steel are used in the power system of automobiles (bolts for engine cylinder heads, bolts for connecting rods and flywheel bolts) and other most technically advanced and critical parts. There are only two manufacturers in China who are capable of producing such steel. In the field of automotive applications, Xing Steel has successfully passed the certification of 38 famous automobile OEMs at home and abroad, such as Honda, General Motors, Ford, Hyundai, SAIC, etc., and has been affirmed by high-end customers in the field of automobile manufacturing.
In the production of other cold heading products, many products are also domestic initiation. Brahmaputra River Bridge which successfully applied the bolt connections made of high strength weathering steel is the first coating-free bridge in China. It is located in an alpine and high-altitude area, where the land is sparsely populated and maintenance is inconvenient. Because of the long span and the whole free painting, welding alone cannot meet the requirements of installation and free painting. Xingtai Steel together with the Iron Academy of Sciences jointly developed XG835NH, a high strength weathering steel. The finished bolt strength meets the requirements of 10.9 grade bolts, has the corrosion resistance index I> 6.5 and uses the whole free painting, which fills the domestic blank in high strength weather resistant steel. It is of great significance to promote the healthy and sustainable development of China's steel industry and bridge corrosion prevention industry.
