Introduction: Recently, Hebei Department of Science and Technology announced the second batch of Hebei Popular Science Demonstration Bases, 11 popular science demonstration bases in Xingtai are listed, including the Chinese People Anti-Japanese Military Political University Exhibition Hall and other 10 bases with thematic features; one scientific research base. The participants reached a thousand. Xingtai Steel also joined hands with Baidu to organize the interviews called"100 Famous Enterprises – the Chinese Brand". Xingtai Steel joined this interview as the first enterprise in the steel industry. Through the "Enterprise on Cloud" model of "interview + live + thematic sedimentation", the live program showed viewers an enterprise focusing on digital transformation. The short 90-minute live attracted 1.26 million viewers, overturning the public's traditional perception.
As the newly selected second batch of Hebei Popular Science Demonstration Bases, Xingtai Steel extends the industrial chain relying on itself, its three subsidiaries (SINGU KELLER, Beijing Welded Wire Mesh and Xinxiang Metal Material Technology Co., LTD) and downstream deep-processing. Xingtai Steel has indoor and outdoor activity places with an area of nearly 10,000 square meters, more than 200 sets of science education and wire experience exhibits, 10 experts, 20 part-time lecturers above the level of deputy director and more than 200 science popularization volunteer. The content of science education mainly focuses on "How is steel made?" and "how to change from a big steel country to a strong steel country", involving green steel mills, intelligent manufacturing, technology and environmental protection, and the harmonious coexistence of steel mills and cities.
According to the relevant national policies, popular science demonstration bases can enjoy relevant tax incentives. Next, the Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Department will also award the provincial popular science demonstration bases and give certain financial support in the form of projects on a merit basis.
